Starkers wordpress framework
Every time when I start coding another theme, first thing I’m doing is copying Starkers theme to the /wp-content/themes/my_new_theme.
What for do I need it? To decrease theme developing time, this theme is a real time saver (at least for me). Personally I prefer to call Starkers “naked theme”, not the framework. This theme has all templates with all essential wordpress tags and loops with minimum markup required. So after unpacking Starkers you are ready to go with your design implementation, no need to strip-clean-delete useless markup.
In my opinion default theme have a lot of useless html code inside and that’s why “naked” Starkers is here. Developing with it is a real pleasure, please give it a try I’m sure you’ll not regret about that.
